Have you ever started to research something and happened upon various new avenues that were all very similar? Well, I, too fell down this rabbit hole. Years ago I happened upon Primal Blueprint via an ex-Boyfriend, and I gave it a chance. I dropped 15lbs quick! Though I was happy about the change, there was still an issue I’d run into on a monthly basis. My monthly cycle was driving me nuts, and causing me all too often to fall off the wagon. However I stuck with it until there came a day that I caught an article from another blogger coupled with a YouTube video on the subject of leptin. Leptin is a hormone that controls hunger, and when that is stated one consumes larger amount of healthy fats, protein, and gets plenty of sleep. This newfound information lead me to eating more healthy fat, which in turn brought me to a low carb high fat (LCHF) diet. Enter the ketogenic (keto) diet. After joining in on the keto community as I like to call it, I really realized that being Primal was where it was the entire time as it was really LCHF to start with. With all of these the food you cannot eat is grains, starchy food, legumes, sugar, and a good chuck of processed food (anything that didn’t grow).
